Boston Herald sportswriter Steve Buckley reveals he is gay 0

Steve Buckley, known sportswriter for the Boston Herald for a long time now, uncovered in his column published Thursday a secret: he is gay.

He revealed that he is gay in the article entitled “Welcome to my coming-out party”. Since his mother had made a suggestion on revealing his secret, it took seven years for Buckley to consider it.

Buckley finds it unfair, not just for himself but for everyone around him, to be on the sidelines of the gay community in Boston without being in the game – “figuratively and literally”.

“It’s my hope that from now on I’ll be more involved,” Buckley mentioned in reference to tragic events that he had faced. “I’m not really sure what I mean by being ‘involved,’ but this is a start: I’m gay.”

Love takes backseat for “Uptown Girl” Christie Brinkley 0

One-time mega-model Christie Brinkley admits that she is not hurriedly looking for love again. At the age of 56, she is contented with having three lovely children whose ages are 25, 15, and 12, according to the statement she gave to People magazine.

Remember the very popular music video for the song “Uptown Girl”? Christie Brinkley was that leggy model on that music video.

Christie was previously married to sensational singer Billy Joel, had a divorce, recently married to Peter Cook, and had another divorce. Despite of being divorces for the past two years, she claims that she is totally okay.
